Temperatures regularly reach the mid-to-high 20s°C, with humid stretches common in July and August across the region. Lionhead's Legends and Masters courses draw serious players and can book out well ahead on weekends, so advance reservations are advised. Kirby Links in Maple, with its par-54 layout, offers a quicker alternative for golfers looking to squeeze in a round mid-week. Pickering Glen's parkland setting provides some shade relief on hotter afternoons. Summer is also when Toronto itself is most animated — festivals, waterfront patios, and the CNE in late August all complement a golf trip. The combination of urban amenities and varied course options within a 45-minute drive of the city makes this the trail's busiest and most rewarding window.

Fall

September and October deliver arguably the most consistent conditions on this trail. Humidity breaks after Labour Day, temperatures settle into the 12–20°C range, and fairways firm up considerably, rewarding accurate ball-striking with extra run. Parkland courses like Pickering Glen display solid fall colour through October as surrounding tree lines shift. Tee times become easier to secure, and many courses begin offering reduced twilight rates as daylight shortens through the month. Golfers should plan tee times no later than early afternoon by mid-October to ensure enough light to finish. Frost closures can begin in earnest by late October, and most facilities in the Greater Toronto area wind down by the end of the month or into early November in mild years. Off the course, the Greenbelt farmland around Brampton and Milton enters harvest season, with local farm markets and apple orchards adding to the appeal of the drive. Fall is a strong choice for returning visitors who want quality conditions without summer-peak crowds.
