Golf Ormstown is an 18-hole public parkland course situated in Ormstown, Quebec, in the agricultural lowlands southwest of Montreal. The layout measures 6,228 yards from the tips and plays to a par of 72. Originally opened as a 9-hole layout in 1975, the course expanded to its current 18-hole configuration in 1980 and has been family-operated for decades.
The course is defined by natural water features — rivers, ponds, and stands of woodland thread through the layout, creating both visual variety and genuine strategic demands. At 6,228 yards, the course is accessible to a broad range of handicaps while still offering enough water-influenced risk-reward decisions to engage stronger players. The parkland setting keeps conditions relatively sheltered compared to more exposed Quebec courses.
Golf Ormstown is a good fit for golfers seeking a relaxed public round in a rural Quebec setting, whether as a standalone destination or a stop on a broader road trip through the Châteauguay Valley region. The course offers practice facilities, a pro shop, and dining options on site, making it a self-contained stop for a full day of golf.
