Gathering of the Clans

Held every July 1st in the harbour village of Pugwash, this long-running Scottish heritage festival features a grand parade, sanctioned highland dancing and pipe & drum competitions, heavyweight highland games, live Maritime music, artisan vendors, and a fireworks display over the harbour at dusk. The event draws thousands of visitors each year and is one of the most beloved Canada Day celebrations in Atlantic Canada. It is coordinated by the Village of Pugwash and takes place primarily at Eaton Park and Thinkers' Lodge National Historic Site.
