World's largest tulip festival — a spectacular spring opener for golf season.
Held every May at Commissioners Park along the Rideau Canal, the Canadian Tulip Festival is the world's largest free tulip festival, showcasing over 300,000 blooms across 26 gardens and more than 100 varieties. Dating back to 1953, the 10-day event celebrates the historic friendship between Canada and the Netherlands, with cultural pavilions, walking tours, family activities, and a Victoria Day fireworks and drone show finale. It marks the opening of the Ottawa Valley golf season and is an easy drive from all courses in the region. Timing: Mid-May, annual (approx. May 8–18, 2026).
