Located in Drumheller's Badlands, the 18-hole Dinosaur Trail Golf & Country Club features a varied landscape. The front nine is set along the Red Deer River with wooded terrain, while the back nine is carved into the Hoodoos, presenting a desert-like and challenging experience. The course originated as a 9-hole layout in 1965, with the challenging back nine added in 1996. The 11th hole was specifically reconfigured to avoid disturbing dinosaur bone beds.
